The terms that apply when you use this site, request service, or opt in to text messages from A Affordable Towing.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this website and the towing and roadside assistance services provided by A Affordable Towing Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"), located at 484 Lowell St, Peabody, MA 01960 (USDOT #3135586). By using this site, requesting service, or communicating with us, you agree to these Terms.
Our services
We provide towing and roadside assistance — including local and long-distance towing, jump starts, flat tire changes, lockout service, fuel delivery, winch-outs and recovery, accident recovery, and junk car removal — anywhere within about 1½ hours of Peabody. Service availability depends on truck availability, road and weather conditions, traffic, and the location and condition of your vehicle. We may decline a job we cannot perform safely or legally.
Quotes and pricing
Any price we quote by phone or in writing is an estimate based on the information you give us — your location, your vehicle, and the service you need. If the actual conditions differ (for example, the vehicle is further away, inaccessible, or requires additional equipment), the final price may change. We will tell you before we perform additional work. Payment is due on completion of service unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about your location, your vehicle, and the situation
- Confirm you are the owner of the vehicle or are authorized to request that it be moved
- Remove valuables and personal property from the vehicle before it is towed
- Stay in a safe place away from traffic while you wait for our truck
Limitation of liability
We carry the insurance required to operate as a licensed towing company and we handle every vehicle with care. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for pre-existing damage, mechanical conditions, or wear that we did not cause, for personal property left in a vehicle, or for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses such as lost time, lost income, or missed appointments. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited under Massachusetts law.
Text messaging (SMS) program
Program operator: A Affordable Towing Inc., 484 Lowell St, Peabody, MA 01960. We run two separate text messaging programs, and you opt in to each one independently with its own checkbox on our service request form. You may join either, both, or neither.
1. Service notifications (non-marketing)
Account and service messages about a towing or roadside job you asked us about. Message use cases:
- Service request confirmations — acknowledging we received your request and have it in the queue
- Roadside assistance and dispatch updates — which truck is coming, that the driver is en route, and estimated arrival
- Driver arrival notifications — letting you know we’ve reached your location
- Service status — where your vehicle was taken and when the job is complete
- Invoices and account-related communications — quotes, the upfront price, price changes, and receipts
- Questions we need answered to reach you — clarifying your exact location, vehicle, or access to it
- Replies to your own texts — if you text us first, we’ll answer
2. Marketing and promotional messages (optional)
If — and only if — you check the second, separate consent box, we may also text you marketing and promotional messages, including special offers, discounts, seasonal reminders, and news about our services. This is entirely optional and is never required to get service from us. You can opt out of these at any time with STOP, and opting out of marketing does not stop the service notifications about an active job.
How you opt in
You opt in by checking the relevant consent box on our service request form and submitting your mobile number, or by otherwise giving us your written or verbal permission to text you. Both boxes are unchecked by default — you have to choose. We do not add anyone to text messaging without their consent, and we do not buy, rent, or import phone number lists. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing anything from us or of receiving service — you can always reach us and be served by phone at (978) 233-3400.
How to opt out — text STOP
You can cancel at any time. Just text STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we’ll send one confirmation message and then you will not receive any further text messages from us. If you want to rejoin later, sign up again through our service request form or ask us by phone. You can also call us at (978) 233-3400 at any time and ask us to remove your number.
Message frequency and cost
- Frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on your request. Most customers receive only a handful of messages related to a single job.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply. A Affordable Towing does not charge you for text messages — your mobile carrier’s standard message and data rates apply to every message you send or receive, according to your own plan. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
- Carriers and delivery. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier’s network and your handset, and we can’t guarantee it. Carriers supported include the major US wireless carriers; carrier support can change without notice.

Privacy
No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

The content on this site — text, images, logos, and design — belongs to us or is used with permission, and is provided for information only. You may not copy or reuse it commercially without our permission. We work to keep the site accurate, but service details, coverage, and pricing can change without notice.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised accordingly.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
