A Affordable Towing Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website and provides towing and roadside assistance services across Peabody and Greater Boston’s North Shore. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this site or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us when you call us or submit our service request form. This may include:

• Your name and contact details (phone number, mobile number, and the service location)
• Details about your vehicle and the towing or roadside service you’re requesting
• The content of phone calls and text messages you have with us
• Whether you have consented to receive text messages from us, and when

We do not sell personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to your request and dispatch the towing or roadside service you need
• Reach you at your location and complete the service
• Communicate with you about your service by phone and, if you’ve opted in, by text message
• Keep records required to operate our business and meet legal obligations

Text messages (SMS)

Our service request form has two separate, optional consent checkboxes, both unchecked by default. If you check one — or otherwise give us permission — we may text you at the mobile number you provide:

• Service notifications (non-marketing): your towing request, roadside assistance, dispatch updates, driver arrival notifications, service status, invoices, and other account-related communications.
• Marketing and promotional messages (optional): special offers, discounts, and news about our services. Only if you check that second box.

We record which box you checked and when, so we have a record of your consent. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of receiving service, and you can always simply call us instead.

Message frequency varies and depends on your request. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Full details are in our Terms of Service.

No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The only parties that ever handle your mobile number are the service providers that deliver messages on our behalf, and they are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party ad networks. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share browsing data. Nothing on this site follows you across other websites.

Two limited exceptions apply:

• Our service request form. The form on our contact page is provided by our customer communication platform (LeadConnector / GoHighLevel) and is embedded from their servers. It may set cookies or use similar local storage that are strictly necessary to display the form, prevent spam, and submit your request to us. It is not used for advertising.
• Standard web server logs. Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider records basic technical request data — such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested — for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. These logs are not used to identify you or to market to you.

Because we do not track you for advertising, we do not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals; there is nothing to turn off. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, though doing so may prevent the service request form from working.

How we share information

We share your information only as needed to run our business, and never for unrelated marketing:

• With trusted service providers (for example, our customer communication, messaging, and scheduling software) who process information on our behalf and are bound to protect it
• When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property

We never sell or rent your information, and we never share your mobile number or SMS consent with anyone for their own marketing.

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Your rights and choices

You are in control of the information you’ve given us. At any time you may:

• Stop text messages (unsubscribe). Reply STOP to any text message from us, and we’ll stop immediately — you’ll get one confirmation message and nothing after that. You can also call us at (978) 233-3400 and ask us to remove your number.
• Update your information. Tell us what’s changed — your phone number, name, or vehicle details — and we’ll correct our records.
• Ask what we hold. Request a summary of the information we have about you.
• Ask us to delete it. Request deletion of your information, subject to records we’re required to keep for tax, insurance, and towing-regulation purposes.
• Opt out of sale or sharing. There is nothing to opt out of — we do not sell or share personal information, and we never share SMS opt-in data. See the statement above.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

Children’s privacy

This site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised accordingly.
